Cameron Boyce was born on May 28, 1999 and had a net worth of $5.5 million at the time of his death. He was an American actor that became popular for his role in “Grown Ups”, “Descendants”, and “Spider-Man. His father is of African-American and Afro-Caribbean descent, while his mother is Jewish. Jo-Ann Boyce, Cameron’s paternal grandmother was part of the Clinton Twelve – the very first African-Americans that were given the opportunity to attend and study in an integrated high school in the American South. The group of Clinton Twelve was ordered by the Brown v. Board of Education from 1954.

Boyce lived with his younger sister and parents until he decided to move with former co-stars Sophie Reynolds and Karan Brar in May 2019. Besides acting, he was very passionate about different styles of dancing such as ballet, breakdancing, hip-hop, jazz, modern dance, and tap dance. Due to complications of epilepsy, Cameron Boyce passed away at the age of 20 on July 6, 2019.

In the music video, Boyce appeared as the younger version of Ryan Ross, the guitarist of Panic! At the Disco. Two months later, he appeared in the American prime time serial “General Hospital: Night Shift”, portraying a character named Michael. Throughout the rest of 2008, at the age of 8, Boyce continued to develop his acting skills and took part in two different movies – “Mirrors” and “Eagle Eye”.

The movie that really contributed to Boyce’s acting career and success is Disney’s “Descendants” which premiered on July 31, 2015. In the series, he was one of the main cast members and portrayed Carlos – the son of Cruella de Vill. The young actor later reprised his character for “Descendants: Wicked World” – animated shorts released from September 2015 to March 2017. Because of the success of the first movie, “Descendants” was ordered for two sequels – “Descendants 2” and “Descendants 3” where Boyce also played his character, Carlos.

In March 2018, he was cast of the television pilot “Steps” and took part of the indie film “Runt”, where he played the role of Cal – a teenage boy that experiences a troubling incident. In January 2019, Boyce joined the cast of “Mrs. Fletcher” – an HBO comedy miniseries. In the series, he played the role of Zach – the college roommate to one of the main characters in the show, Brendan. A few months later, Boyce performed in Hozier’s music video for the song “Almost (Sweet Music)”. Before his death, he was set to begin production with Adam Sandler on a new movie, however, the ideas were nixed.

Boyce was found unresponsive at his home on July 6, 2019. After the authorities arrived at his home address, they pronounced him dead at the scene. Following his death, Boyce’s family released a statement in which they claim the actor passed away while he was sleeping and he was suffering from a seizure that at the time was still being treated. Three days later, after the autopsy results came out, it was revealed that Boyce passed away due to an epileptic seizure and he was previously diagnosed with epilepsy.

Finally, to honor Cameron’s legacy, Network for Good established “The Cameron Boyce Foundation” in which many of his friends and colleagues. Dove Cameron, Debby Ryan, Sophie Reynolds, and Karan Brar showed their support. Shortly after his death, the foundation was able to donate $8,000 to the Thirst Project so a well could be built in Uganda.
