How much is Chace Crawford worth?
|Net Worth:||$7 Million
|Date of Birth:||July 18, 1985|
|Country:||United States of America|
You’ve seen him all over the Upper East Side and in the middle of more than one love triangle as the dapper Nate Archibald in Gossip Girl.
Who Is Chace Crawford
Chace Crawford as Nate Archibald on Gossip Girl has frenemies Serena van der Woodsen and Blair Waldorf at each other’s throats vying for his attention. Not much is different in real life, except it’s every female teenage Manhattanite trying to catch the eye of this thick-browed, perpetually single hunk.
And he’s not just a pretty face, he is well accomplished and possesses a personal net worth of $7 million dollars in 2020.
From Jock To Model Behavior
Coming from quite the opposite of his onscreen character’s roots, Chace grew up in Dallas, Texas where his father was a dermatologist (which might account for his flawless face) and his mother was a teacher. Your average jock, Chace played football and golf in high school before he gave up playing the field to pursue a career in modeling.
Not quite sure if modeling would be a career path he was interested in, Chace headed to Pepperdine University in California where he flip-flopped between courses in advertising, business and communications while taking a few study breaks with his Sigma Nu frat brothers. But mom always knows best, and when Chace’s mother encouraged him to think about acting, something clicked. Chace was immediately signed by an agent and devoted his schoolwork to acting classes.
No More Little Boy Lost
Chace’s studying paid off. In 2006 he landed a role in the film Long Lost Son playing the title character of a lost son. But the budding actor wouldn’t be lost much longer—his big break came with a lot of gossip. In 2007, Chace was cast as one of the lead characters in an ensemble cast TV adaptation of the Gossip Girl book series. In the series, he plays Nate, a well-to-do Upper East Sider who often finds himself none the wiser to his fellow socialites’ conniving ruses.
But in 2007, Chace’s career wasn’t the only thing that was heating up. In October of that year, Chace and country darling, Carrie Underwood were spotted together all over town before they officially started dating. But the duo didn’t make sweet music for too long—about seven months later, they called it quits…via text message.
Chace would shed his silver-spoon-in-mouth persona for a role in the 2010 film Twelve alongside Emma Roberts, 50 Cent and Rory Culkin in a role that exposed a different side to New York’s rich Upper East Side teens—as their drug dealer.
For Chace, unfortunately art seemed to imitate life when in June of 2010 he was found to be in possession of marijuana in his home state of Texas and was charged with a misdemeanor. The actor claims he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
With several seasons of Gossip Girl under his belt and a promising film career in tow, we have a feeling we’ll be seeing a lot more of this chiseled stud—if he can stay out of the slammer.
Defining Quote “I’m always trying to improve myself so that when opportunities come, I don’t strike out.”
