How much is Keira Knightley worth?
|Net Worth:||$60 Million
|Date of Birth:||March 26, 1985|
We first got a glimpse of the British beauty when she was trying to Bend it Like Beckham before scoring some major booty with a lead role in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.
Who Is Keira Knightley
This gorgeous Brit caught everyone’s eye as a soccer-playing tomboy before the world fell in love with her as a hostage to a ship full of undead pirates. This is one beautiful actress who, more than Love Actually, we actually really love.
As of 2020, English actress Keira Knightley has a net worth of close to $60 million dollars.
The Family Business
For Keira, the film industry was in the English beauty’s blood—she was raised by an actor father and an actress/playwright mother. When she was only three, Keira decided that she too would join the family business and told her parents that she needed her own agent.
But the precocious toddler had to wait three more years until her parents granted her her wish. When Keira was seven, she landed her first TV role in Screen One: Royal Celebration and at 10 she landed a bigger role in A Village Affair. But she didn’t start to leave a mark until she played the decoy queen Sabe, alongside Natalie Portman, in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.
But Keira still wasn’t sold on acting. She continued her education in Teddington while taking time to film when her schoolwork allowed. She appeared in Princess of Thieves (2001), and The Hole (2001), but her big break came in 2002 when she starred in the British football flick Bend It Like Beckham. The following year, Keira would join the ensemble cast of the holiday blockbuster Love Actually.
Making Major Booty
Slowly making her way to household name status in the U.K. and the U.S., Keira’s role in the multi-million dollar franchise Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl in 2005 sealed the deal. Playing damsel in distress Elizabeth Swann alongside Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom, Keira became a certified star when the film made a killing at the box office.
In 2005, Keira was back to what she does best: period pieces. This time she played the lead in Jane Austen’s Pride & Prejudice and received the Hollywood Film Award for Best Breakthrough Female Actor. A year later, she reprised her role as the beautiful Elizabeth Swann in the next Pirates of the Caribbean installation, Dead Man’s Chest.
Hot off the critics’ presses, Keira went on to star in Silk (2007), Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End (2007), Atonement (2007) and The Duchess (2008). Although she decided to walk away from the Pirates franchise after the third chapter, Keira has been keeping herself busy wit films like Last Night and F. Scott Fitzgerald biopic The Beautiful and the Damned.
She’s the beautiful Brit who was the face of Chanel and is a consistent stunner on the red carpet. Although we love her in modern garb, she best holds a place in our hearts any time she puts on a hoop skirt and corset.
Defining Quote “Every time I do an interview with the English press, one of their questions is, ‘How do you feel knowing that everyone thinks you’re a sh*t actress?'”
